Daniel is Senior Vice President of Engineering for Emergent Technology and is leading development of the company’s Responsible Gold supply chain solution, payment platforms and G-Coin digital token. He’s a technology leader with exceptional leadership and hand-on experience specializing in payment processing and fraud detection systems. He was an early adopter of emerging technology such as big data, rule based declarative programming and blockchain technology.
Prior to joining Emergent in 2017, Daniel spent five years at Western Union where most recently he was vice president of digital engineering. While at Western Union, he designed and delivered the next generation fraud prevention platform for the company. He also designed and delivered the Western Union payments gateway, a world class digital payment processing and normalization platform designed to simplify the integration of multiple payment types across the globe while maintaining a single integration point in the organization.
Daniel joined Symantec in 2004 and during his tenure provided the architectural design of the consumer eCommerce cloud and payment processing system – SymPay. His early career was spent in Israel working for Precise software solutions as the Siebel lead developer and as a development engineer at Pelephone Telecommunications.
Currently, Daniel has two patents pending in the United States, one for “payment gateway for generic processing in ecommerce” and the second for “fraud detection using clusters on graph DB.” He graduated from the SELA Institute , Ramat-Gan, Israel with a degree in software development and he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marine Archaeology from Haifa University in Israel. Daniel is multi-lingual and fluent in English, Spanish and Hebrew.
